I have so many sessions that I haven't shared on Facebook or the blog because the images were intended primarily for Christmas cards or Christmas gifts.  But Christmas has long since past, so now I can! This crew had planned a session and their family photographer had a sudden death in the family.  Fortunately, they had planned to do it on a Sunday morning when I don't normally take sessions so I was able to fill in and we were able to beat (most) of the rain... and I even made it to Sunday School!

This first image was the winner for the front of the card!

And then on the back we picked one image each to showcase the personality of each grandchild!

As you can see, they all loved the camera!

And there is almost nothing I love better than capturing sweet sister-love!

This littlest guy sure did remind me of his grandfather!

Phoebe Hope | Sanford NC Newborn Photographer

I met Phoebe's mom several years ago when my own girls were small and were in activities with Phoebe's big sister, Jozie!  They are such a sweet family.

I had to steal this from Rebecca's (mom's)  Facebook page because it really struck me that if Phoebe lives up to the commentary used here, she would be an awful lot like her mom and grandmother!

In case you were wondering, Phoebe's name was not inspired by the show "Friends", rather it is a woman I greatly admire from the bible. In Romans 16:1 Paul sings her praises as a "‘deaconess of the Church which is at Cenchrea’; one commentator says about her that "in that capacity, by gentle ministrations and the exhibition of purity and patient love, as well as by the gracious administration of material help, (Phoebe)had been a ‘succourer of many.’ There is a whole world of unmentioned kindnesses and a life of self-devotion hidden away under these few words."

In my mind, Phoebe is synonymous with Godly service. It is a name to live into.

 She certainly has good role models to look towards that demonstrate this Godly service and kindness!

The dress that Phoebe is pictured in above is a dress her mom actually wore as an infant!  I think that is so special!

I was beyond thrilled when Jennifer asked me if I could take pictures of Kaiden again!  He has just turned one, and who could resist this adorable little face?!  

I think I would need to give him hugs and kisses and cuddles all day too if he was my baby!

He is one now and he was not quite walking yet at our session, but he is on the go for sure.  Watch out mama and daddy -- he will be hard to keep up with now!

When you call to book a session and I tell you that I'd love to meet in the late afternoon to catch the last sunlight of the evening...this is what I'm talking about...

These are some pretty cool kids and I know they sure did make their mama happy by participating fully on this afternoon!

This picture of the guys here is one of my all-time-favorite family session photos!!!

I honestly wanted to edit every photo from the shoot.  I don't think they had any bad photos at all!

It was a beautiful evening with a beautiful family.

Lily | Northwood High School Class of 2016 | Pittsboro NC Senior Photographer

This has been such a rainy fall, but the sun came out for this senior's session a few weeks ago! It was a perfect day - not too hot and not too cold and the light was just beautiful...just like Lily! Lily is a Northwood student and she showed me some cool Chatham County places for photographs!

Emery Elizabeth | Sanford NC Newborn Photographer

I always get super excited when I am asked to do a newborn session - doesn't matter who it is that asks, I always feel honored that anyone entrusts me to capture that newborn innocence and newness. The wrinkles, the rolls, those sweet baby yawns...

I am not sure when I started taking dance at Kelly's - maybe when I was in the fourth grade?  I believe Sloan was around kindergarten age then -- maybe even younger!  I remember the dance recital where she dressed up like Pocahontas -- I think she could still pull it off, don't you?!  Just beautiful!

Sloan brought Emery over when she was 6 days old, and let me tell you - she is a natural little mama!  I knew Emery was her first baby, but had I not known, I would have never guessed it in a million years -- she was as confident as any second, third or fourth time mom I've ever met!

We had a super fun session with lots of props and set ups!

We couldn't forget the camo for Emery's dad!

Savor this fleeting time, Sloan!  Emery is beautiful!
